Came home not long after watching Initial D at TM...not a bad show, quite realistic in fact. But there's still some difference from the anime.

The Initial D movie starring Jay chou as Takumi, is basically a summary of the first 2 series on the anime (Initial D first and second stage). So basically after watching the movie u can just continue watching the new series of the anime, Inital D forth stage ~ Project D. And if you notice in the movie, Takumi agreed in joining to join the new racing team led by Edison (Ryousuke). This team is called project D...so now see the link? Yup...

For some parts of the movie, it din really follow the anime. First is Takumi's dad (Bunta fujiwara). He isn't that bad actually...though he drinks and smokes, his quite a serious guy and seldom speaks. And of cos he doesn't beat his son up....zzz.

Second, it's Takumi's best friend, Itsuki. It's true that he's a funny character in the anime, but one think for sure is that he's not the best racer of akina hill, and he's first car is not the one we saw. He had his second car all along throughout the anime. And they made a mistake in the car info, he drove an AE85, not 86. The first car that was smashed (Nissan S13 silvia) belongs to the head of Akina Speed Stars, who was not featured in the movie. Itsuki is one of the members, but is just a low profile character in the racing team. And i dun think he has a dad that works at the petrol kiosk.

Oh, not to forget, Takumi(Jay) dun beat people up too. That's over-reacting. And actually the anime for 2nd stage ended with Takumi telling her gf, that he've decided to join the racing team and ended the r/s by telling her about it, not juz running of upon seeing her alight from the mercedes benz. And the girl...she's really wad she is in the anime, but not that chubby? lol...

For the rest, here and there is a little mix up, but doesnt matter. overall the show was quite okay. Let's just leave those as part of the mystery. After typing so long, i guess any girl who watched the show would be more interested in the pleasant looking guys in the movie....haha.
