27/05/09 (3 mths to my 22nd :)) - Night @ the Museum 2
We decided to watch a movie instead cos it was pass 2pm when everything was settled and ready to go out. In addition, there's student rate at cathay@$6 only (no more for GV due to blockbuster season. Duhzz) but not on friday. And so museum visit on friday instead.
The show was actually pretty nice, like Barney where all will turn back to still again. hee. It's a humourous show but not exactly comedy. Ben stiller still has his good acting. I find the girl who acted as Amelia, the first female pilot who flew across the pacific ocean, quite pretty and acted with an outstanding attitude. And also the popcorn @ cathay taste nicer than GV. lol. i realise The Cathay is really a nice place to watch movie. :)
I wanted to eat 日本村 but after the show we're at PS and it was a hassle to walk back there. So we decided to take bus 16 back to eat at prata shop. We ordered mee goreng with chicken, mutton murtabak, chese and egg prata and 2 drinks. We were so full that we left 1/10 of the murtabak uneaten and took away iced milo. But at least cheaper than if we were to eat at The Cathay or PS.
28/05/09 - the Tampines Flyer
i end up distributing flyers the whole of today. lol. only did 1 sales at 8.50pm. So after giving out 1200 flyers for the whole day by myself, alone outside Cheers, this is what i observe:
1) Thoses who jay-walk across before green light normally dun take my flyer. (or isit because they're more to red, under singtel. lol. got it?)
2) Some people like to look down and walk pass you if they dun want your flyers. Some will look away, which i think it's simply rude.
3) Normally when the first person takes the flyer, the people behind will follow to take one too. But if no one takes it, the trend continues. Sometimes i wonder what's so scary about my flyers. Will it kill you to take one?
4) the different kinds of hand gestures to reject the offer - some people give a palm's up, but some do so as if they're saying hi to you. the best gesture of the day goes to this auntie who showed me a victory sign, the twist. i almost burst out laughing. lol.
5) i saw so many people on the phone...just too many of them. Are they faking it? lol.
6) there's really a lot of people hanging around in tampines. Oh my... i think i met at least 10 today. it's like crazy man.
7) Actually it's quite easy to give out the flyers. I like to walk around....so when it's red light, i'll approach those standing around and when it's green i'll stand outside cheers a metre or two away from the road. This sequence seems very good and i think i gave 200 in 40 mins.
i'm serious paranoid about my results tmr. i think it's a good think i might be going for a drink tmr night. Wish i can get myself drunk. :P
