speechless.
i have lost my voice and now the best way for me to express myself is through blogging.
it was a whole 2 days of sports, run around, under the sun and starlight, all just for games, games and more games. A pre-camp for Arts Camp 09 it was, with the many games going on that we councillors have to give it a shot before the freshmen do, and give the committee our valueble feedbacks.
1st June 09, Monday - Angels and Demons
took a bus at 7am in the morning, expected to be late for stated timing 8.30am to reach. Just when i thought by reaching @ 8.50am most likely to be latest, i saw almost no one at the entire forum whom i knew, my house had pathetic strength, at most 10 at the point of time, my OGL yh wasn't around, neither is grace, mich, kx...haha. S is for Slackers...
i joined the house without knowing anyone (thanks to wee^2), and started learning cheers from scratch without anyone i knew around me. only till about 10plus i had kx, grace and yh with me. Still, our house strength is much lower than the others. Sometimes i seriously wonder why people join camps and then dun turn up for everything. bleahz.
we played tonnes of games, neverending games, and learned cheers to prepare us for the actual camp. and it so happens the first game we start playing and it got my shirt wet. hurhur. Oh and...it was terrible. I seem to wearing the wrong attire. i should have worn a lousier t-shirt? bleahz. and the pants, 3 quarts that i was wearing weren't good for games. but i still survived. And i've brought a shoe bag with my shoes, only to have my shoebag to be used to keep valuables. i wonder if any of their wallets staled. lol.
and so morning was light games, lunch @ engine eating ytf. Continued on with sports games @ src after which dinner was a pasta salad and some fries, and then with night games to final off. bathed at 12plus and went to sleep before 1.30am. i simply k.o.-ed.
2nd June 09, Tuesday - speechless and sentosa
when i woke up in the morning @ 7.30am, i realised i've lost my voice. i simply cannot talk loud, can't really shout. sianz. dunno wad happen to my voice last night. might have probably been the aircon which made my throat dry, worsening my throat after a day's cheering. sigh.
had bfast at the deck eating beehoon and 9am @ src we begin war games. As a house we head to harbourfront and dabao food from the hawker centre. I bought 2 packets of sugarcane juice and finished it even before we reach vivo! i was so thirsty man...imagine what we did all day long is nothing but games. then on the way to vivo we passed by vivo starhub so went to say hi to george. it has been a long time since i last since him. hope he'll be back to tampines by august. he rocks. haha. we reached the ticketing area at 1pm and had our dabao lunch. took a nap and left at 2pm via the monorail. could see that the resort is half done and would be done by next year. i think the workers can work 24hrs round the day without being afraid of disturbing anyone. alighted @ beach station and headed to palawan beach.
we had our games at sentosa, all about getting wet, getting crazy and enjoying the fun. just when i thought we're at the end of all the games, after getting my wound cleanse with a pathetic alcohol swap, there were 2 more house game before we're done. oh my. it was the human worm and tug of war. both equally tiring. but at least we won the last tug of war game out of the four games, only 1 guy and 2 girls. at least my effort wasn't wasted. and now i'm suffering from every-inch-of-muscle-is-pain syndrome. i seriously wonder who invented this 4p tug of war, so free to tie the ropes together. and they have a stupid rule which is not to wrap the rope around the waist. gosh. and as the last man i keep stepping on the rope cos the loose end is not guided. and this female umpire doesn't get it and start screaming to my group mates not to pull the rope when they're actually helping, and she isn't. i think she just has a bad attitude. that's about it. but i was seriously thankful we won. had muscle failure in the midst when my grip just cant hold and the rope basically slip through my hands. i think the 2 girls really good too, holding on to the rope with very great effort. it's teamwork. and the cheering. we rock! :D
had dinner @ food republic but wasn't real hungry so ate dessert first followed by a bowl of dumpling. took a train and stopped at eunos for a while to meet my darling before heading back to tampines and home. k.o-ed before 1am....
